Who we are

EXTRA TIME is provided by Owen Brannigan, operating under the Ball Knowledge name. For privacy questions, email hello@ballknowledge.pro.

This policy covers the EXTRA TIME iPhone app, the playable browser app and this EXTRA TIME website. A separate website you choose to visit will have its own privacy information.

The iPhone app

You can play without creating an account. We do not operate an account database or online multiplayer service for EXTRA TIME, and the app does not send your profile, player names, answers or scores to us.

Optional profile details and your sound preference are stored locally on your device. Player or team names and scores are held for the game being played. They are not synchronised between devices.

Vercel Web Analytics is disabled in the native iPhone app. The app does not use advertising identifiers or request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos. Its sounds are generated on the device and do not record your voice.

Local storage and your choices

You can leave optional profile fields blank, edit them from the profile screen and turn sound off. Local preferences remain until you change them or remove the app's stored data. Deleting the iPhone app removes its local data, although offloading or device backups may retain information according to your Apple settings.

In a browser, clearing EXTRA TIME's site data removes locally stored profile details, preferences and downloaded offline files. We cannot retrieve, correct or delete information that exists only on your device.

Website and browser analytics

The playable browser app and this website use Vercel Web Analytics to understand general usage. Vercel describes this reporting as aggregated and says it does not use third-party analytics cookies.

Analytics information can include the page visited, visit time, referrer, approximate location, operating system, browser and device type. We do not send EXTRA TIME profile fields or game scores as analytics events. Vercel and other hosting infrastructure may also process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect the service.

Feedback and support

When you email us or use the website feedback form, we receive the name, email address, message and any attachment you choose to send. We use this information to respond, investigate problems and improve EXTRA TIME. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary personal information.

Website feedback submissions are transmitted through FormSubmit and delivered to our email inbox. FormSubmit states that it retains form submissions for up to 30 days. Email providers process support correspondence so it can be delivered and stored.

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate an issue, maintain necessary records or meet a legal obligation. We do not sell the personal information supplied in support or feedback messages.

External services and links

EXTRA TIME links to the separate Ball Knowledge website. Visiting an external link sends a web request to that service, and its own privacy practices apply. Downloads, TestFlight, optional diagnostics and device backups provided by Apple are governed by your Apple settings and Apple's privacy information.

Why we use information

We use support and feedback information to respond to your request and for our legitimate interests in supporting, securing and improving EXTRA TIME. Service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards apply to those transfers.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held by us, object to or restrict its use, or receive a copy. Email hello@ballknowledge.pro to make a request.

You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when EXTRA TIME or our practices change. The date at the top shows when the policy was last updated.
